Time Passes By

WOW.... I know it has been forever since my last post! I guess I have just been busier, if that's possible..ha!!

Here are two of some big milestones in our life that have taken place since my last post.

Dylan graduated Pre-K prep1 the end of May and Presli had her first birthday July 5. Oh my, I cannot believe how fast time goes by now that I have kids. Both of these big milestones are just reminders of how special these days with my kiddo's are. I love spending time with these two angels and I'm thinking how much I want them to stay this age forever.

First Words

Presli started saying momma last week and it was the best thing ever. Just Tuesday she started saying "bubba".. that made Dylan's day. He was so excited when we picked him up from school and his baby sissie was saying "bubba". I cannot believe she is already saying things. I love the sound of her sweet innocent voice saying "momma, momma, momma". It melts my heart!!

Bath Time

It makes bath time so much more fun, special, and did I mention, fast when Dylan and Presli do bath time together. Dylan is so good about not letting the water get too full for his sissie. I love these two precious faces.... They melt my heart and light up my day!!

Yes Presli is asleep!! Too bad she woke up when I got her out. Oh well, it was super sweet and made for a great picture. Dylan was so upset when I got her out. He said "mommy I can't believe you woke my sissie up, that's so rude." I couldn't help but laugh.

Grandad Robinson

Last night Dylan came to me dressed like this and told me he looked like grandad(Robinson) and said "grandad is like John Wayne". I said "oh of course you do", knowing that he felt very proud thinking he looked just like grandad Robinson dressed like this. Dylan totally thinks grandad is a real cowboy(which he is) like John Wayne. That is a real compliment coming from Dylan because he has been taught, by me, that John Wayne is the best cowboy around. I'm thinking grandad should feel very good about himself, because in the eyes of Dylan he's kinda "famous".

Leg Candy...

Presli's leg warmers are one of many of the great "accessories" available out there for babies now. I think her chunky legs look so cute snuggled in them.
These are one of the best things that have been brought back. They are so convenient, you can change their diaper without having to take anything off, not to mention how stinking cute they are. Presli has a pair to go with any outfit... I'm leg warmer crazy and think everyone with a tot should have a pair or two or three...lol!! I like to think of them as "leg candy"..just another great accessory to finish off an outfit.

Tonsils & Adnoids

Dylan had his tonsils and adnoids out on Friday so we have been reading lots of books, playing Lego's, and watching movies all weekend. Bless his little heart, he has been in lots of pain, but he thinks that getting to eat ice cream for breakfast is pretty cool!

Look alike

Presli got her very first Cabbage Patch for Christmas from her grandma and grandad Robinson and when we opened it up I totally cracked up. I think it looks just like Presli and her hair with her ponytail in. I also grew up loving Cabbage Patch babies and so it reminded me of when I was a little girl. Presli's Cabbage Patch is wearing a Care Bear costume and I also collected every Care Bear they made when I was little. This made me reminisce back to being a little girl playing with all my Care Bears and Cabbage Patches. This is one of my favorite things Presli has and ever time I look at her Cabbage Patch I see a resemblance between her and Presli. She loves her baby and I think this picture of them together is so cute.

Crazy Monday

After a long weekend of Presli being sick and a late Sunday night with Presli's fever being at a high 104 I was hoping for a lax Monday. My children had different plans. Dylan decided to wake up with the sun and came up to my face and said "mommy its a beautiful day and its time to wake up and jump on the trampoline"...yes I said JUMP...wow..your kidding me! Well just in case your wondering, no I didn't go and jump on the trampoline at 6:45 am but my daily morning duties did start. Feedings, laundry, cleaning, and did I mention diaper changes and bottom cleaning?! Well lets just say Dylan was rather regular today, after 5 times of "mommy will you please come wipe my bottom" and the daily regularity of changing a 7 month old, I do believe I was an official "bottom cleaner" today. As if I wasn't feeling tired enough, I walked out from checking on Presli while she was napping, and dylan was jumping on the trampoline NAKED...OMG!!!! It's now around 4pm and I decide to have a piece of chocolate, that at this point in the day, I feel I well deserve. Dylan walks up to me and says "mommy too much chocolate makes you poo poo"...hmmmm?! After his day in the bathroom I'm thinking he must know something I don't and decide to stop at only one piece.

First Foods

Now that Presli is 7 months she is needed more to keep her little tummy full. She started on fruits and veggies and is loving them. You can tell by this smile she is thinking "this stuff is wonderful!" It is so funny because she attacks the spoon when she sees it coming.

She is crying here because she is having to wait for her next bite. She takes after her momma...she loves her food and doesn't like waiting for it!!!

my first blessing

Dylan made this heart with his hands and told me"this heart is for you because I love you so much".

Dylan is so full of energy and questions, he is very antithetical, and this makes for some very trying days, but I wouldn't change a thing about him. He has the sweetest heart. He cares so much about every ones feelings and tries very hard everyday to make the right choices. I will never forget the moment I held him for the first time. My heart felt a love that is more than indescribable. For the very first time I could grasp the love that Jesus has for us....that is enough love to lay down his very own life!

Having him changed my life forever and it gave me a whole new outlook on the "simple things" that go on in my everyday life that are treasures. Dylan brings so much joy to my life and its such a unexplainable love that I also feel in return from him. He loves me "just because"..for no reason in the world.

His little eyes just sparkle when he smiles and it doesn't matter what kind of day I maybe having, his smile always brightens my day.

Dylan is so sweet, every morning when I come out of my closet from getting dressed he says "mommy you look so beautiful in those cloths." I look forward to that complement every single morning...it makes my day!

Bike Ride

Today was such a pretty day compared to the insanely cold and icy weather we had last week so we decided to ride bikes. Dylan thought sissie would love to try his bike out for size....and as you can see, she loved it. We had so much fun and it was so nice to be able to play outside.

crazy hair

Dylan thinks its funny to fix his hair in all kinds of CrAzY ways to make me laugh.

Sad enough this is what presli's hair looks like everday when she wakes up or once we have pulled her ponytails out....SiLlY...just like her.
Whether its silly hair or watching my kids play they always bring joy to my heart and keep me laughing.

Sleepless Nights

I honestly cannot remember the last night of good sleep I have had. You know its been a long time when Dylan asks me "mommy how did you sleep? and I reply..good. He says no mommy, you had a rough night". So instead of hopefully waiting on a "good nights rest" I decided to blog about the sleepless nights and just laugh about them. Last night Dylan and I decided to have a sleep over with two of his best est friends, Hayden Reece and Avery Blaine. They started the night off upstairs in the playroom on a pallet and gradually ALL of them ended up downstairs in bed with ME!!! Yes every single one of them. That would be....Dylan, Avery, Hayden, and yes Presli too!!! I did manage to snap a picture early this morning before they decided to wake up at 6:30...Oh well there will be days I'm missing the sound of a child's voice waking me up in the middle of the night. Oh and for the record, they are all very good snuggler's.

What a MIGHTY God we serve

2008 was truly a year of surprises and I feel like many of them all came at once. But I am a firm believer that Gods timing is always perfect. I feel that God gave me many huge tests of faith, as well as many blessings, and I'm honestly a better person because of it. As January draws to an end, I'm feeling abundant thankfulness because one year ago is when we found out I was pregnant with sweet Presli. I'm so grateful for the life God spared for me when He chose to give me the life of Presli to enjoy on a daily basis. "I prayed for this child and God has given me what I asked for" 1 Samual 1:27. As most of you know, Presli Faith was born at an extremely early 28 weeks(2 in a half months early) but God showed us His grace. Weighing a tiny 2 pounds at birth we didn't know what to expect from day to day. Leaving the hospital without my precious new baby was one of the saddest days of my life, for more reasons than one. But God had work to do in Presli as well as in me. I can remember sitting by her incubator and just watching her for hours and thinking how Gods construction of this tiny baby was perfect and amazing. I remember saying " look at her nail bed, its the tiniest thing I have ever seen.... How can something be so unbelievably small and yet so perfect"? "For thou didst form my inward parts; Thou didst weave me in my mothers womb. I will give thanks to Thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Thy works, and my soul knows it very well." Psalms 139:13-14
Presli's reports continually beat all the odds and we brought our healthy baby girl home from the NICU 8 weeks after giving birth to her and she was PERFECT!!!! God reminds me of the TRUE miracle of life every single day when I look at my beautiful daughter.....WOW....what a MIGHTY God we serve.
